Operational Committee Meeting Minutes July 7, 2007

 

 In Attendance:  Margarite Batease, Nancy Crown, Dawn Willard, Lucy Beverly, and Yvonne Weston.

                      

   June 2nd minutes approved as read. We were honored to have in attendance Nancy Crown, Treasurer of MBF Fund, Inc.

 

Topics Discussed:

 

1.    Resolved: The fee for weekend seminars has been adjusted from $550.00 to $450.00 with a unanimous vote.

2.     Resolved:  The center’s brochure is now displayed at Greenlife Grocery  community display rack.

3.     In preparation to present the purchase of Future Way to Investors, a packet will be compiled consisting of a DVD with photos, prospectus, map of area. An inspection of both the stone house and center will be obtained.

4.     Margarite is pursuing the application to transfer the Money Market account to ING Direct with a higher interest rate.

5.     Margarite lead a beautiful meditation for 7/7/7 which interestingly lasted exactly 16 minutes which adds up to 7!!

Operational Committee Meeting Minutes July 18, 2007

 

 In Attendance:  Margarite Batease, Dawn Willard, Lucy Beverly, and Yvonne Weston.

 

This was an interim meeting to ensure momentum on the proposed purchase of Future Way property and follow up on other issues.

 

1.      Quotes for inspection of stone house and center were gathered and presented by Margarite.  Committee voted to approve obtaining the inspection.

2.      Lucy to research LLC parameters in NC regarding the number of partners permitted.

3.      Dawn has researched bringing more visibility of center website on the internet and is meeting with a web professional next week.  All committee members will be compiling keywords and phrases to assist in this endeavor.

4.      A wonderful idea for a lectures to interest new members, Spiritual Storytelling, came out of a general discussion of reaching out to the community. Yvonne to check on procedure for booking available space at the JCC-Jewish Community Center, Greenlife and Earthfare meeting rooms.
